CHC Helicopters are seeking to employ a self-motivated and enthusiastic B2 Licensed Engineer for our base in Norwich.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager SNS.
  • Responsible for maintaining the required authorisations for aircraft and aircraft components maintained in their area.
  • Responsible for the quality of work carried out by themselves and non-certifying technicians under their supervision.
  • Responsible for the accurate compilation of documentation and the certification of maintenance carried out within the scope of their authority.
  • Ensuring that all documentation used during maintenance is of the correct revision status.
  • Ensuring that they remain current with all amendments to Company Procedures/Manuals and all other relevant technical data provisioned.
  • Ensuring that all tools used during maintenance are properly controlled and calibrated.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area’s under their control.
  • Must observe employee responsibilities to comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policy within his/her area.
  • Conversant with Company IT systems i.e. AMOS. Training will be provided as required.
  • Required to obtain an airport security pass.
  • Required to obtain the necessary Company approvals for the accomplishment of his/her role.
  • Required to undertake aircraft towing operations after training.
  • Assist with the receipt and dispatch of stores as directed by the Storeman.
  • Liaise with his /her Shift Supervisor or the GSE Co-Ordinator with regards to all periodic inspections and calibrations of tools and equipment held at the Base.
  • When nominated, to take charge of an aircraft operating away from a main base including the satisfactory, efficient and timely completion of all maintenance arising in addition to any significant component changes and/or modifications.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • In possession of a UKCAA Part 66 Licence in CAT B2, preferably with an AW139 and/or EC175 Type Rating.
  • A good knowledge of NAA regulations with regards to the Part 145 Maintenance Organisation and Continued Airworthiness.
  • A high standard of professionalism is required with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Good Communications skills are essential, as the candidate may be required to communicate internally and externally to persons outside of his/her discipline and at all levels.
  • The ability to work within a team, which will include task outside of his/her trade discipline.
  • An awareness of MSDS and requirements.
  • Computer literate. Experience of AMOS MRO software would be an advantage, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • Full DVLA UK Driving Licence.
