CHC Helicopters Netherlands, based in Den Helder, region EMEA, is the main heliport for the Dutch sector (North Sea). Den Helder Base operates a fleet of AW139 Helicopters and closely cooperates with the CHC bases in Aberdeen, Humberside and Norwich in serving the offshore oil and gas industry.

 

 

CHC Helicopters Netherlands BV has one (1) open vacancy for a B2 Type Rated Licensed Engineer & has one (1) open vacancy for a B1.3 Type Rated Licensed Engineer.

 

The B2-Licensed engineer is primarily responsible for performing and certifying maintenance activities carried out on CHC HN’s fleet of AW139’s. As a member of certifying staff the B2 licensed engineer will act within the privileges as defined in Part-145 and approved as per the company authorisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Type Rated Licensed Engineer is responsible for:
    • the work released by themselves, also if performed by somebody else (under their supervision);
    • carrying out their tasks i.a.w. the relevant procedures and instructions;
    • using personal safety equipment as and when required;
    • reporting any non-conformance or (potentially) hazardous situation;
  • perform and release maintenance activities performed on the aircraft types as specified on their company authorisation - including troubleshooting, replacement of parts and components, performing repairs as specified in approved data;
  • perform modifications as specified in e.g. Service Bulletins or company Engineering Orders;
  • assign tasks to Unlicensed Engineers, supervise, inspect and release the work performed;
  • carry out the administrative duties associated with issuing the Certificate Release to Service;
  • coordinate the work/shift plan in absence of a Maintenance Supervisor;
  • communicate with the Technical Planner;
  • monitor and update the short-term planning and coordinate proactively with other CHC HN departments such as Flight Ops and Technical Services to ensure optimum fleet availability;
  • keep the hangar tidy and orderly, perform required husbandry tasks.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • A category B2 and B1.3 are required to have a valid EASA aircraft maintenance license with at least 1 type rating endorsement is essential.
  • An AW139 type rating endorsement is strongly preferred
  • Good working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
  • Work in a structured and precise manner.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable EASA Part-M, Part-145 requirements.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and maintain a level headed approach when under pressure.
  • Ample computer / MRO software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, AMOS, SQID, TCmax, etc.).
